oDemonstratesthoroughworkingknowledgeofinstruments/equipmentinthedepartment.Abletoprovidetroubleshootingguidancetostafftoresolvecomplexinstrumentandequipmentproblems.Workswiththevendorwhereneededtoresolveinstrument/equipmentrelatedproblemsandsummarizeresultsofinvestigations.
?Training:
oCoordinatesthetimelydevelopmentandcompletionoftrainingmaterialsandchecklists.
oSeeksandpromotesexpertiseindepartmentandacrosssitestoensureconsistentapproachtotraining.
?SOP:
oInitiatesrevisionstoSOPsorwritesnewSOPstoreflectcurrentprocessesthatensurecompliance.CoordinateswithotherdepartmentsandothersitestoensuretimelycompletionofSOP.Resolvesobstacles,whereneeded.
?Instrument/Equipment/AssayValidation
oResponsibleforcoordinatingwithotherresourcestoensuretimelycompletionandimplementationofnewassayvalidations.
oMaybeaskedtoresearch,develop,validateandmaintainproceduresinareaofresponsibilityandmakerecommendationsonmodification/improvementofprocedurestomanagement.
?ProcessImprovement:
oAbletoanalyzeexistingprocessesandcreatenewapproachesorideastoimprove.Workswithinternal/externaldepartmenttoensuresuccessfulimplementationofchanges/improvements.
oDemonstratesextensiveknowledgeofalldepartmentfunctions,andmayserveassubjectmatterexpertfordepartmentoncompanywideinitiatives(i.e.,SixSigma).
?Supportsclientauditprocessandrespondingtoinquiries.
?Servesasanexpertinallfacetsoftrainedworkstationsinareaofresponsibility.Respondstoproblemsorquestionsofdepartmentstaff.

Education/Qualifications
Preferred:
?Bachelor'sdegreeinMedicalTechnologyorcompletionofatleasta12-monthtrainingprograminMedicalTechnology.
OR
?Bachelor'sdegreeinachemical,physicalorbiologicalsciencefromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversityandone-yeartrainingand/orexperienceinthespecialtyinwhichtestingistobeperformed.SuchtrainingmustbeequivalenttothatreceivedinaschoolofMedicalTechnology.
Experience

?Performsresearchtosupportrequestsfornewinstruments/equipmentneededtoimplementnewassays,improveproductivity,andreducecosts.Workswithpotentialvendors,andprovidesnecessaryinformationtointernalcustomersforimplementation.
?Overseedelegationofworkflow.Ensurestheefficientoperationofworkstationsandareasofresponsibilitytoensuretimelyresultingofqualitydata.
?Withmanagement,mayleadcross-siteharmonizationefforts.
